Journal of Liquid Chromatography & Related Technologies: New special issue welcomes manuscripts from doctoral and graduate students

Journal of Liquid Chromatography and Related Technologies (JLC&RT), a chromatographic specialty journal, is starting a new tradition of publishing one special issue per year, dedicated to showcasing short communications by doctoral students working toward completion of their thesis or dissertation. To help us in our effort, Dr. Mark Moskovitz, Editor-in-Chief of JLC&RT, asks that you please extend this invitation to any doctoral and graduate students you may know that are working in related programs and might be interested in this opportunity.

We encourage interested doctoral and graduate students to submit a manuscript of a short communication about their working thesis or dissertation by December 31, 2014. Specifically, what we are looking for in terms of a short communication is a concise, but independent report representing a significant contribution to chromatography. We are looking for results of exceptional interest, and that are particularly topical, relevant, and novel. These short communications may include two figures or tables, should include references, and should be no more than 2,500 words. (We are not interested in publishing preliminary results.)

JLC&RT is particularly interested in the areas of analytical, preparative, and process scale liquid chromatography, as well as all of its related technologies, including: TLC, capillary electrophoresis, capillary electrochromatography, supercritical fluid chromatography and extraction, field-flow technologies, and affinity. We want short communications that exhibit original features, thoughts, and novelty.

The most exciting part of this opportunity is that one paper from the special issue will be selected by Dr. Mark Moskovitz as the best in the issue, and the paper will be identified as such in both the online and print publications. The author of best paper will also be given a one-year complimentary online subscription to the journal.

For those interested in this opportunity, we encourage you to peruse JLC&RT’s site. Please also see our Instructions for Authors page for further guidance in preparing manuscripts for submission.

Thanks so much for your interest, and we look forward to your submission.

Best of luck!

Dr. Mark Moskovitz
